Three-phase asynchronous motor is widely used, but it will appear various kinds of problems after running for a period. Timely troubleshooting and relative treatment are an important work to ensure the machine working normally without fault becoming worse.

1. The motor does not turn, without abnormal sound, foreign smell or fume after electrifying.

Fault reason: ① The power is off. ② The fuse is off. ③ The value of over current relay is too small. ④ Wrong wiring connection of control equipment.

Troubleshooting: ① Check power circuit switch, check whether there are breakpoint on the fuse, or connection box. ② Check the fuse type, find the fusing reason and change the new fuse. ③ Adjust the setting value matching the motor. ④ Modify the wiring.

2. The motor does not turn after electrifying, and the fuse burn out.

Fault reason: ① Phase short of stator winding. ② Stator winding grounding. ③ Wrong wire connection of stator winding. ④ Cross section of fuse is too small. ⑤ Short circuit or grounding of power line.

Troubleshooting: ① Find the short circuit point and fix. ② Remove grounding. ③ Modify the wire connection. ④ Change the fuse. ⑤ Remove the grounding point.

3. The motor is difficult to start, and the motor rotation speed is lower than the rated speed under rated load condition.

Fault reason: ① The voltage is too low. ② The wiring misconnect to Y. ③ Cage-typed rotors break. ④ Wrong connection or opposite connection of local coil of rotors and stators. ⑤ Motor overload.

Troubleshooting: ① Measure the motor voltage, and reset.② Reconnect the wiring. ③ Find the break point of rotors and weld. ④ Reconnect the wire. ⑤ Reduce the motor load.
