Different Types of Construction Waste Crusher

Construction waste crusher can be distinguished according to its operation object or structure and working principle

Due to different crushing methods and different processing material types, in order to adapt to the needs of practical work, the crusher types are also varied. Construction waste crusher can be distinguished according to its operation object or structure and working principle.

According to the job objects, this crusher can be divided into three types, as follows:

(1) Primary crusher: used for the first crushing of large materials, and dealing with the biggest material diameter is allowed more than 1m. Crushing ratio is not big, generally less than 6.

(2) Medium crusher: treatment of particle size is usually not more than 350 mm. The mainly crushing method is smashing and squashing. Because of including fine crushing, the crushing ratio is big, normally is 3-20 with max. ratio above 30.

(3) Fine grinding machine: it is used for grinding oil plants with particle size of 2-60mm, the products size is not exceed 0.1-0.3 mm, the finest size is below 0.1 mm, crushing ratio can above 1000.

According to the different structures and working principles, common crushers have following main types.

(1) Jaw crusher  It depends on movable jaw to do periodic reciprocating motion to crush material between the two jaw plates.

(2) Cone crusher  Outer cone part is fixed, inner cone does eccentric rotation driven by eccentric shaft, and the materials are crushed between inner cone and outer cone.

(3) Roller crusher  Materials are crushed between two parallel and squeezed rollers which are rotating in the opposite direction, or broken by extrusion splitting (tooth roll).

(4) Hammer crusher  Material is impacted by the high-speed rotating hammer or high-speed material blocks strike the fixed plate.

(5) Edge runner  Material is crushed or grinded by rotating cylindrical on the disc.

In addition to the mechanical crushing method, now there are power crushing method, ultrasonic crushing and sonic crushing.
