Hammer crusher use impact force to crush the material along the joint, and smash on the weak points along the nature gap, bedding surface and joint surface. Hammer crusher has high crushing efficiency, large crushing ratio, simple structure, less consumption, high production, uniform particle size, less overgrinding, easy maintenance, easy to repair and spare parts replacement.
But hammer head, liner plate, rotor disc wear quickly, especially for hard material crushing. When crushing the materials with moisture content exceed 12% or with clay, the grizzly bar gap is easy to be blocked, accordingly decreases the production capacity and increases the abrasion of spare parts like hammer head.
No matter what kinds of hammer crusher, they are mainly breaking the materials through impacting. When the materials enter into crusher, they are smashed by high rotated hammer head. The crusher materials receive power from hammer head and then strike on the grizzly bar and liner plate for the secondary crushing. Finally, the materials that smaller than the grizzly bar drain from the gap, the larger materials rebound to the linear plate and grizzly bar will receive the additional impacting force from hammer head, and in the whole process, there are mutual crushing among materials.
