Hard rock mining refers to various mining techniques used to excavate hard minerals, mainly those containing metals, such as ore containing gold, silver, iron, copper, zinc, nickel, tin and lead. Following the removal of the ore from the mine, the material needs to be crushed to make extraction of the base mineral easier. Crude ore must be reduced to a size that will permit optimum liberation of the minerals and allow their subsequent separation from associated gangue minerals by gravity, magnetic, electrostatic, froth flotation, etc.
LUOYANG DAHUA equipment can be used throughout the beneficiation process of hard rock mining – from the primary crushing stage to classification. Our lines of crushers, screens, samplers and classification equipment are all engineered to withstand the rigors of processing base minerals. Following to the removal of base minerals from the ores, producers must then deal with wastewater and tailings. Thickeners and filter presses can be used to reduce, and in some cases completely eliminate, tailings dams used in hard rock mining.
