Normally we use impact crusher at the secondary crushing section to crusher cobble and the aggregates that smaller than 500mm. It is widely used in water conservancy, artificial sand making and crushing industry. The working principle of impact crusher is similar to that of hammer crusher, which is used impacting force at high speed to crusher materials. But differ in the machine structure and working process. In this text, we will talk about the three crushing principles of impact crusher.

1. Free Impact Crushing

It is the main factor that generates impact crushing force. When Plate hammer contacts with the material, the material will be casted out at a twice speed than that of the hammer plate. Most of the dust is generated by this impact during this procedure.

2. Impact Crushing

The material falls onto the impact plate or bounces out under the influence of gravity. The Impact plate is the main factor that controls the direction of the material flow.

3. Milling Crushing

Material falls into the crushing chamber, the large size material will be milled by high speed plate hammer and then be casted out. Additionally, the large material that going through above two crushing procedures yet to be crushed, will be milled by the high speed hammer plate at the discharge opening.
