Ball mill process refers to grind materials by means of steel ball or steel bar to make the materials reaching the required diameter. It has the following advantages and disadvantages.

The advantage of ball mill:

1. Well adapted to the materials, it has large production capacity with contiouns production to meet the requirement of large-scale production.

2. Large crushing ratio with the biggest more than 300,it is easy to adjust fineness of gringing materials.

3. It is used in dry and wet crushing.

4. Simple and strong structure, reliable operation, easy to maintain and high running rate.

5. Good seal and negative pressure operation.

The disadvantage of ball mill:

1. Large power and low effective utilization of electric energy. Most of the electric energy are disappeared by converting into other forms of energy (heat, sound).

2. Large weight, high price and maintenance cost.

3. High price of associated equipment such as reducer and bag duster (used in dry method).

4. Large material consumption per unit output and big noise.
