This text mainly introduces two main parts of jaw crusher – liner plate and adjustable device of discharge opening.
1. Liner plate
The cross section of liner plate is normally casted in wave shape or triangle, so the bottom and the peak teeth are bite when install the liner plate. Therefore, the liner plate not only squeezes the material, but also bends and splits it to enhance the crushing effective.
The liner plate of small size crusher is made of white cast iron, while the bigger size uses manganese steel.
2. Adjustable device of discharge opening
The larger and medium size jaw crusher use push plates with different sizes to adjust the discharge opening, the smaller size jaw crusher usually use the wedges to adjust.
