Stop the feed – Shut down all upstream conveyors and feeders immediately.

Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) – Press emergency stop, disconnect main power, and apply personal lock and tag.

Wait for complete stop – Allow all moving parts (flywheels, jaw) to halt before approaching.

Cause       Solution
1. Discharge port blockage (most frequent – sticky/wet material or too narrow CSS)    Clear blockage manually with pry bars; pre-screen wet material; adjust CSS.
2. V-belt slippage or breakage  Adjust tension or replace matched belt set.
3. Loose eccentric shaft bushingRetorque or replace the bushing.
4. Low/unstable voltage Measure voltageconsult electrician to upgrade supply.
5. Bearing seizure (poor lubrication or contamination) Replace bearings; follow lubrication schedule strictly.
6. Toggle plate/spring failure (motor runs but no crushing)Replace broken spring, pull rod, or toggle plate.

Verify chamber is clear and guards are reinstalled.

Remove LOTO and reset emergency stop.

Run no-load for 2–3 minutes – listen for noise, check bearing temperature (max 70°C / 158°F).

Resume feeding gradually, monitoring for 30 minutes.
