The common crusher are jaw crusher, impact crusher, cone crusher, and roller crusher. How do these crushers work?
JAW CRUSHER
The jaw crusher electric motor drives V-belt to make the swing jaw up and down through eccentric shaft. When the swing jaw goes up, the angle between toggle plate and swing jaw gets bigger, and the materials can be crushed. When the swing jaw goes down, the angle between toggle plate and swing jaw becomes smaller, the swing jaw moves away from the fixed jaw plate, and then the crushed materials will be discharged from the lower outlet of the crushing chamber.

Jaw crusher has the feature of simple structure,easy for repair and maintenance, safety and reliable,as well as wide application.But the intermittent running and idle stroke increase non productive power consumption. Because of the alternate motion made by swing jaw and connecting rod,it will cause large inertia,make the spare parts bearing heavy load.When crush wet materials, the production capacity decrease,even led to block situation. When crush dry flake type materials,it is easy to pass through the width direction of jaw plate without broken,so as to block feed opening of next crushing machine.
IMPACT CRUSHER
When the materials get into the impact crusher action area of plate hammer, they are crushed by the hammer at a high speed. The crushed materials are thrown to the impact plate along the tangential direction to crush again. Then they are rebounded from the first impact plate and enter into the second impact plate to repeat the above process. This process will proceed repeatedly until the material is crushed to the required granularity.

During cone crusher operation, the motor transmits the driving force by the conveyor and V-belt. Then the eccentric sleeve rotates by the drive of crushing driven shaft and a pair of bevel gears. The breaking cone then doing rotary inverted pendulum under the force given by eccentric shelve that makes the distance between the mantle and concave getting closer or remoter. The mineral ore inside the crushing chamber breaking when it get crushed, punched and bended.

The materials are feed from the top of crusher, the two rollers rotate relatively. The friction between material and roller surface makes material enter into chamber and be crushed. After crushing, the material drop out from discharge gap of roller crusher.
