The blow bar is a crucial component of impact crusher and also a more susceptible part, leading to increased wear during long-term working processes. The blow bar needs to be replaced every few months under normal circumstances. However, due to the superior manufacturing material used in our factory, the service life and durability of the blow bar are extended by 1.5 times, resulting in a corresponding extension of the replacement interval.
Impact crusher blow bar material
The blow bar is a crucial core component in the impact crusher, and its life is influenced by two factors: the casting process and the material composition of the blow bar. When casting a wear-resistant blow bar, it is essential to consider the hardness and impact toughness of the material in order to enhance the wear resistance of the impact crusher’s blow bar.
Casting wear-resistant blow bar is usually used: high chromium cast iron, high manganese steel.
The high chromium cast iron blow bar has excellent anti-wear performance and is a highly effective wear-resistant material. However, it possesses the drawback of low toughness and susceptibility to cracking. To ensure the safe operation of high chromium cast iron blow bar, crusher parts manufacturers have developed a composite blow bar known as high chromium cast iron combined with high manganese steel or low alloy steel. By utilizing these two materials for casting different parts, an optimal performance can be achieved by compensating for the limitations of each individual material. However, it should be noted that this manufacturing process is considerably more intricate and demands stringent requirements.
The production process of the high manganese steel blow bar is highly efficient, resulting in excellent quality and a low price. Additionally, it exhibits exceptional toughness. However, its most notable characteristic lies in its rapid surface hardening. The hardening index is 5-7 times higher than other materials. Consequently, this significantly enhances the material’s wear resistance.
The material is the most crucial factor directly impacting the wear resistance of the blow bar in an impact crusher. To ensure a prolonged service life for the blow bar, it is essential to select appropriate materials, thus establishing a solid foundation for high-quality performance.
