1. The impact crusher has a large crushing ratio and a good shape of the finished material.

Under the action of impact, the material to be crushed is often broken along its most fragile layer. This selective crushing method has uniform discharge size and a cubic shape with low fine powder and dust content. Therefore, cubic particles are needed occasions. For example, anti-skid pavements of high-grade highways usually use impact crushers as final crushing equipment to produce concrete aggregates.
(2) The hammer crusher has a small crushing ratio, and the product contains more granular, needle and flake content, high powder content, low crushing efficiency and low output.
2. The wear of the vulnerable parts of the impact crusher is smaller than that of the hammer crusher, and the metal utilization rate is higher.
(1) The wear of the hammer of the impact crusher only appears on the side facing the material, and the metal utilization rate of the hammer of the impact crusher can be as high as 45% to 48%.
(2) The hammer head of the hammer crusher is in a hanging state, and the wear occurs on the upper, front, back and side. Compared with the plate hammer, the hammer head wears more serious, and the metal utilization rate of the hammer head is only about 35%. Moreover, the rotor body itself may also be subject to wear. The sieve plate at the bottom of the hammer crusher is seriously affected by abrasion, and all the grilles must be replaced, and the replacement of the sieve plate is also more complicated.
3. The spare parts of the impact crusher are easy to replace, and the maintenance cost is correspondingly reduced.
(1) The frame part of the impact crusher has a three-part structure. Only the rear casing of the crusher can be opened to perform maintenance and repair operations such as replacement of the hammer, impact plate, and liner, and the components of the impact crusher. The interchangeability is strong, and the variety of wearing parts is small, which is convenient for the procurement and management of spare parts.
(2) There are more than 100 hammer heads in the hammer crusher. It takes a lot of time and manpower to replace a set of hammer heads, and the maintenance and maintenance costs are relatively high. The replacement of the bottom screen is also extremely troublesome.
4. The impact crusher can easily and flexibly adjust the output particle size, and the output particle size adjustment range is wide.
(1) The impact crusher can adjust the discharge particle size in many ways, such as adjusting the rotor speed, adjusting the gap between the impact plate and the hammer.
(2) The adjustment of the discharge particle size of the hammer crusher can only be achieved by replacing the bottom sieve plate.
5. The impact crusher is suitable for both soft materials and very hard materials.
(1) The hammer of the impact crusher is fixedly installed on the rotor, which can make full use of the energy of the whole rotor during crushing, which is beneficial to crushing large pieces of materials. Moreover, the impact crusher has a counterattack plate and a larger crushing cavity. The crushing is not only by the impact of the hammer, but also by the repeated impact between the material and the impact board or between the material and the material.
(2) Compared with the hammer crusher (the hammer head is in a suspended state), the rotor of the impact crusher has greater momentum and is suitable for crushing harder materials. Compared with the hammer crusher, the impact crusher has the ability low consumption.
6. The impact crusher can effectively process materials with a large moisture content and prevent the blockage of the crusher.
(1) Because there is no bar at the bottom of the impact crusher, the product size is determined by the gap between the impact plate and the hammer head, so when the water content of the processed material is too large, it can avoid the phenomenon of blocking the grate when crushing the wet material.
(2) The hammer crusher is equipped with a bottom screen, which increases the possibility of blockage.
In summary, the finished material has high requirements for particle size molding, high humidity, and large output. If the output is large, the impact crusher must be selected. Generally, small stone plants process soft rock and require low output (less than 30t/h). And the hammer crusher can be used if there is no requirement on the particle shape of the finished product.
