The Difference between Jaw Crusher and Impact Crusher

The different between jaw crusher and impact crusher

In recent years, the demand for crushers has continued to increase, and there are more and more classifications. Today I will tell you the difference between jaw crusher and impact crusher:

1. The application of crushing section is different

Jaw crushers are generally used for one-stage crushing, which can directly crush large particles of materials into the mineral size that enters the second crushing equipment. Unlike the second crushing, the impact crusher is mainly used for the second crushing equipment of the crushing production line as a jaw-type crusher. "Alternative crushing equipment" for the processed stones of the crusher.

2. The broken materials are different

The jaw crusher is used for one-time processing of various ores with a compressive strength of not higher than 320MPa to the crushing of minerals such as medium grain size. The crushed minerals have a wide range of hardness; while the impact crusher is suitable for marble, granite, etc. Hard materials are not suitable, because the wearing parts are too much loss, not suitable.

3. The feed size is different

There are two series of jaw crushers, namely coarse crushing and fine crushing. The product specifications are complete. Its feed size is 125mm~750mm, which is the first choice for primary crushing. The impact crusher can crush the feed size not exceeding 500mm, and is resistant to pressure. Various coarse, medium and fine materials whose strength does not exceed 50MPa.

4. The working principle is different

When the jaw crusher works, the motor drives the belt and pulley, and the movable jaw move up and down through the eccentric shaft. When the movable jaw rises, the angle between the toggle plate and the movable jaw becomes larger, thereby pushing the movable jaw plate closer to the fixed jaw plate, and at the same time. The material is crushed or smashed to achieve the purpose of crushing; when the movable jaw moves down, the angle between the toggle plate and the movable jaw becomes smaller, and the movable jaw plate leaves the fixed jaw plate under the action of the pull rod spring. At this time, the crushed material has been removed from the fixed jaw. Discharge from the bottom of the crushing cavity. Different from the principle of jaw crushing, when the impact crusher works, driven by the motor, the rotor rotates at a high speed. When the material enters the impact area of the blower, it collides with the blower on the rotor for crushing, and then is thrown onto the counterattack device again. Crushing and then bounce back from the counterattack liner to the hammer action area to break again. This process is repeated. The material enters the first, second, third, and counterattack cavity from large to small, and repeats the crushing until the material is crushed to the required particle size, discharged from the discharge port.

In summary, although there are many differences between the jaw crusher and the impact crusher, they also represent their different operating advantages.
