Detail Introduction of Jaw Crusher Structure

(1) Adjusting device of discharge opening  

Crusher discharge opening increases gradually for the liner plate is constantly worn out, operators should make timely adjustment to ensure required product size.

(2) Insurance device 

The load of crusher is mainly caused by unbroken material enter into the crushing cavity, or by material jam near the discharge opening. If any above situation happens, it will lead to overload, operators must adjust following safety devices in case of damage.

(3) Main frame 

Jaw crusher frame is made of cast steel, and cast iron in welding form, which can be integrated or combined type.

(4) Thrust plate 

Thrust plate can be made of cast iron in one piece, or be made into two pieces and linked by screws or rivets. In order to enhance the wear resistance, sometimes its end is made of chilled cast iron or manganese steel, and made into a shape that can generate rolling contact shape, which have a certain space to store lubricating oil, thus can reduce crusher wear and tear.

(5) Connecting rod 

Connecting rod have integral, combined and hydraulic type, the most commonly used is integral connecting rod. It is made of cast steel due to sustain tension at work.

(6) Eccentric shaft, mandrel and bearing 

When crusher is working, it not only bears heavy load, but also bears much impact force, so the eccentric shaft of large and medium-sized crusher are made of alloy steel. Mandrel can be made of 45 # steel. Both sliding bearings and rolling bearing can be used.

(7) Liner plate 

Liner plate has two important functions:

① As the replacement parts, protect swing jaw and frame free from wear and tear, it itself can be replaced after being worn out.

② Applying pressure on the material and crushed. The tooth on the liner plate and the tooth peek on the swing jaw are directly meshing with fixed jaw plate, which is helpful for biting and crushing. The shape of the teeth, angle and distance are selected according to the experience. Angle is 70°- 90°, usually large material particle size with coarse teeth, small granularity with fine teeth.

(8) Swing jaw 

Swing jaw receives big and complex force, which is usually made of cast steel plate.
