Only when the roller skin is in good condition, roll crusher can obtain high production capacity and qualified product particle size. Therefore, you should know the influencing factors of wear of roller skin and pay attention to the problems in operation; Regularly check wear of roller skin, repair or make replacement if needed in time.

When crushing, roller skin wears gradually. The main factors affecting wear of roller skin are ore hardness, material strength of roller skin, the surface shape of roller, roller size, operating conditions, feeding methods and feed size.

                                        

The service life of roller skin and process index in operation depend on the ore distribution uniformity along the whole roller. If ore distribution is uneven, roller skin will wear quickly and roller surface will appear the annular groove, cause uneven particle size. Therefore, besides coarse crushing single roll crusher, other roller crushers are all equipped with feeder. The length of the feeder equals to the length of the roller, which ensure uniform feed along the whole roller. At the same time, in order to feed ore continuously, rotating speed of feeder should be 1-3 times faster than roller speed. In operation, operators should pay attention to the size of ore blocks. If ore blocks are too much big, it will cause violent impact shock and roll skin damage, it is particularly significant in coarse crushing process.

In order to eliminate the unparallel wearing phonomenon of the roller sheet, great importance should be attached to the feeding granularity the material during the crusher running process.  Please move forward the one of the roller towards the axis during a period of time. The movement distance should be about 1/3 of the diameter of the mateiral particules. 

During the operation of the roller crusher, the operator should be strictly followed the operation manual to prevent the working accident. In order to make sure the good working condition of the crusher, please make proper lubrication to make sure the bearings are well greased. Operator can inject diluted lubricant periodcially. For the lubrication of the roller bearing, operator can use pressure injector to inject diiluted lubricant. The operator can adjust the adjusting spring to make sure the adjusting spring is in good tension so as to achieve the aim of adjusting the gap and pressure within the two rollers. 

Before the commissioning procedures, please check all the screws are well tightened in accordance with the requirement. Then trial run the machine without load for 3-5 mins to ensure there is no malfunction before running with load. Please stop and check the machine after the machine running for 2 hours. Great attention should be paid to the inspection of inner roller and the roller sheet tightening. The v-belt should be in good tension, too loose may lead to abnormal operations and too tight will easily wear out the belt. It should be adjusted according to the machine structure.
