The Theory and Procedures of Low-Temperatur Crushing and Its Advantages

In this text, we will talk about the theory and procedures of low-temperatur crushing and its advantages

For solid waste like tires, wire sleeves and electronics that is hard to crush under normal temperature, we can utilize low temperature condition to make them become cripsy to achieve the efficient crushing. We can also utilize the temperature difference to conduct selective low temperature crushing process. Usually conducting low temperature crusing process needs cooling system.

1.  Theory and Procedure of Low Temperature Crushing

The materials that compose the solid waste will become crispy under low temperature (-120℃-60℃). Druing that period, some of the composition will easily become crispy, while others are not. By utilizing low temperature we can effectively crush the solid waste. Moreover, we can take the advantage of such temperature different to classify the materials selectively.

2.  Advantages of Low Temperature Crushing

Low temperature crushing has mnay advantages than non-normal crushing.

① Low temperature crushing needs little power, usually only 1/4 of normal crushing.

② By utilizing low temperature crusing the noise level could be reducd around 7 dB and the vibration could also be reduced to 1/5-1/4.

③ The same material will be crushed into even granularities and other objects will be crushed into different sizes for further screening. The compound material after going through crushing procedures will turn into mateirals with high purity and it is easier for resource recyclying.

④ For those mateirals that is hard to crush under normal temperature and for extremely high flexibility plastic waste, we can crush them into powder by using fluid nitrogen.
