Hammer head is the key part in crusher, and is also the wear part, which directly affects the working performance of the equipment. So it is important to choose the high quality and suitable hammer head. At present, the hammer head is classified by different size and material, which should be chosen according to the specific situation.
1. Choose big hammer head with the weight of 50-125kg for the large size crusher of the feed size above 40mm. Due to strong impact force, the high toughness ultrahigh manganese alloy steel and alloying high manganese steel are applied to reduce attrition.
2. Choose the hammer head with the weight less than 50kg for small and medium size crusher of the feed size less than 200mm. Because of small impact force, and the processing hardening capacity of ordinary high manganese steel is insufficient, the wear resistance is bad. It's better to use alloying high manganese steel with high carbon content or low and medium carbon alloy steel.
3. Choose the hammer head with the weight less than 15kg for small size crusher with the feed size below 50mm. It is suggested to choose medium alloy steel of medium carbon content, and more suitable to choose the hammer of which the top was made from high chromium cast iron and handle was made of 35# steel or the bimetal casting hammer head of low alloy steel.
4. Finally, the hammer head that used in fine crusher with the feed size less than 100mm, has suitable impact force. So the high toughness ultrahigh chromium cast iron is applied for its big hardness, high impact toughness and service lift is enhanced 3-5 times than high manganese steel.
