Impact crusher is a kind of high efficiency crusher, which can be used for the medium and fine crushing of various materials in many industries such as selecting ore, chemistry, cement and construction material etc. It is widely applied in crushing process as the substitute of jaw crusher and cone crusher for its large crushing ratio, bigger feed granularity, and high production etc.
Working principle
When the materials get into the action area of plate hammer, they are crushed by the hammer at a high speed. The crushed materials are thrown to the impact plate along the tangential direction to crush again. Then they are rebounded from the first impact plate and enter into the second impact plate to repeat the above process. This process will proceed repeatedly until the material is crushed to the required granularity.
According to above principle, we can see that it has following crushing way:
1. Crushing freely. The materials fall into the crushing cavity was impacted instantly. The friction between materials and the impacting force among materials make materials being crushed.
2. Bounce crushing. The crushed materials are not scattered freely, they are collected inside the crushing cavity, striking to the impact plate by the movement of high speed rotated hammer for the further breaking. This is called bounce action.
3. Milling crushing. After being crushed by above two ways, the materials with granularity large than the discharge opening will be grinded by the plate hammer at discharge area.
